“Over the past few years of being a TFI resident, Susan Langdon and the support of TFI have propelled my business to a point where I now sell in several luxury boutiques around the world.

With strong ties to the fashion community, locally and abroad, TFI has arranged many opportunities for me such as a fully sponsored buying trip to Korea and a sales meeting in Philadelphia.

Susan also made a personal introduction for me to The Room at HBC which resulted in my largest order for the spring 2015 season.”

Jessie Da Silva

@jessiedasilvastudio

Before the creation of her namesake apparel label, Jessie Da Silva studied Fashion Design and Fashion Business at George Brown College. It was there that she discovered an obsession with design, technique and ethical production. After assisting designers, managing boutiques, and interning with the wardrobe director of ET Canada, it became clear what was next.

In September 2016, Jessie presented her SS17 collection at Vancouver Fashion Week which garnered exposure in ELLE Canada and Vogue UK. In 2018, Jessie's SS18 collection was available at CONCEPT at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The womenswear brand is now available at Hudson’s Bay. Today, celebrities such as Lottie Moss, Grego Minot, Liz Trinnear, Mouna Traore, Emilia McCarthy, and Melanie Scrofano can be spotted wearing Jessie Da Silva’s swoon-worthy pieces that are all ethically-made in Canada.
