Lympne Castle Competition
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the enchanting world of medieval England. Nestled amidst the picturesque village of Lympne in Kent, sprawled across 139 acres of quintessential English countryside, Lympne Castle stands as a timeless testament to history, its origins tracing back to the year 1080.
In early 2023, former Real Housewives of Toronto star Dr. Ann Kaplan Mulholland and her husband, plastic surgeon Dr. Stephen Mulholland, acquired the castle with an ambitious vision to transform the venerable 944-year-old, 27,000-square-foot edifice into a luxury hotel and premier event destination.
With the final stages of renovation nearing completion, an exciting endeavor unfolds — a quest to discover the quintessential uniforms for the castle's staff. Canadian designers and members of the Toronto Fashion Incubator are invited to click here and apply to The Lympne Castle Fashion Design Competition before May 23, 2024, 11:59 pm ET.
Select segments of the competition will be filmed for an unscripted reality television series scheduled to air on three major, international television networks. Five (5) exemplary competition finalists, each receiving a stipend of $500, will gain the invaluable guidance of a seasoned mentor to materialize their creative design. Ultimately, the competition winner will see their designs manifest into the official uniforms for the front-of-house staff of Lympne Castle.
